Has anyone fitted an aux lead to a C Class Audio 20 to enable MP3 playback on the CD changer input?
How difficult is it to remove the unit and any hints / tips?

A similar question to mine, I was under the impression that with the W211, you either got the aux in as standard or if you had a CDC it came with Ipod or media connection, mine seems to have niether, would be helpful if anyone can shed some light on it.
Thanks
Paul.

Audio20 must mean its a facelifted W203.

The aux input can be fitted but for ipod you would be a lot better off with a genuine Mercedes ipod kit as this will allow the ipod to be controlled from the cars steering wheel, give track info in the cluster and importantly, charge the ipod. the amount of work involved in fitting it is very much the same as fitting the AUX in.

The W211 E class (pre MY09) with audio20 does not have the AUX in available on it. This is why you cant have factory ipod with Audio20 in a w211, only in W211's with comand is it possible.

Thanks Alfie, as you are the man in the know can I fit a x2 DIN facia in place of the factory radio and then fit a DVD/radio/CD head unit with aux freeview box, I have found a FAKRA/DIN aerial adaptor but can I get an adaptor for the other cables, I dont think my car has a separate AGW, this is in an 04 W211 estate
