c class electric heated mirrors

Hi, does any one know or have a wirering diagram for the electric heated mirrors on a c class 220 d elegance 96 on an N. The drivers side heater stays on all the time the ignition is on, the near side is fine. I've checked the connection on the mirror, the connection only fits one way.

Is there a relay for each mirror heater control? if so where is it?

there is a thermostatic switch on the mirror glass itself, the glass has an ignition live and earth and the heater is switched on in low temp by the mirror glass

just fit a new mirrror glass

I thought the system was more basic than that. From what I have read elsewhere, on the w202, both mirrors heat for a set time evertime you start the car, regardless of temperature.
