c class estate

Hi all,ive got around £7k to spend on a c class estate,id welcome any opinions on things to look out for and problems etc,id also like to know the difference between the models,i looked at a 2001 200k classic friday and it seemed a nice car,it was up for £5995 but i read somewhere to avoid the classic model,any reason for this?

Classic is the basic model with few toys, Elegance is the comfortable option and Avantgarde the slightly more sporty model with slightly lowered suspension.
