Can any one help?
My 96N C220D elegance has lost its indicators and hazards. I have checked the fuses under the bonnet and in the boot all are ok. My local merc garage said there is a relay which they sold to me with 5 straight pins (mine are all round pin), its supposed to be in the drivers side kick panel, nothing there, where the hell is it? I've followed the wiring back from the hazard switch but carnt find a relay anywhere. 1 thing I have noticed is that the hazards come on when the alarm is activated!!

any help will be gratfully received

indicator fault

the relay mentioned is inside the front fusebox remove fuses lid then undo cover 6x phillips and remove, its the big 1 & it normally has a pic of a car & caravan on once youve lifted it up a bit give a good telling off and hit it with handle end of screwdriver this can fix it if your lucky well do you feel lucky.

indicators & hazards failure

Thanks very much benzover, your prognosis was bang on, the relay was rattling when I shook it, opened it up and found a power link had fallen out, re-soldered and back in action.
cheers rob

next problem, for my N96 C220d elegance, the interior lights will not come on when the doors are opened. There is 12v at all the door switches. When the light switch is put to the position too come on when the doors open, the lights stay on for ever, even with the doors closed.

Any ideas??
cheers rob
