C Class Internal Fan position problem.... Help Please

My c200 komp. (2001) has recently developed a problem with the air vent control. You can not position air to the footwell. Everywhere else seems to work, but when you position it to feet, it tries to move something but nothing comes out even at max fan position.

I have tried posting this a couple of months ago with no answer, can anyone help? How do I get to the control motor, flap? Perhaps the foot position flap has fallen off? Any ideas? Anyone else had this?
