Has anyone experienced leaks into the passenger side on the C Class?
I have a 98 C Class saloon.
This morning, after noticing a sloshing sound, further investigation shows water dripping from underneath the glovebox/airbag and the carpets are sopping wet. It rained all night.

I'vbe had teh car 18 moths but it looks like the previous owner has had the windscreen replaced before me (scratched chassis number plate) but any suggestions would be appreciated.

Been there done that dried the creme carpet and tears then bought the tee shirt.

Its the small drain thats cholked up with leaves. Its the drain for the air intakes below the windscreen. In the top of the engine bay on the NS just below the intake there is a black tube sticking down. Guive it a poke and water should whooosh out of there. I would recomend that you get a new pollen filter as it will be ringing and also get the hair dryer and try and dry the blower and the sound proofing on the underside of the dash. ( you will know what i mean when you take the bottom of the dash off. Remove the air filter in the long black plastic tube by moving the clips back, unscrew the lid on the blower ( round thing looks smiliar to the pollen filter holder) and have a basin or bucket ready to catch all the water in there as there will be loads .....

if you ahve problems , post back and ill try and help. Best of luck.

It was the local Merc body shop who suggested the windscreen seal.

No leaks last night and there's no sloshing sound now but I'll look into it.

thanks for your help.

My 230e had a new windscreen before I got it And I had similar leaks, that was until I got the silicone sealant out and filled the holes..

I've had a luck under the bonnet.
I take it the drain is to the bottom of the heater (black box on the NS).

I've had no leaks since so it may have cleared itself.
Do I have to take the grill at the bottom of the windscreen off to get at it and how do I remove the interior dash to get at the pollen filter?
