C Class Light Switch w202

i have a w202 and the light switch is making a air noise if the setting for beam is on 4 its not to loud but on 0 or 1 its louder . any one hear of this before is it a broken air line or seal .

The system has a vacuum leak. The most common place is the fixing at the headlight itself. Look for the purple pipes from/to the back of the headlights.

If the air leak can be heard from within the car, then does this not suggest it's leaking, say, behind the actual level switch or somewhere there abouts?

Would you be able to hear the leak if it was occuring at the headlamps itself?
