C class tyres. - Tyre choice

C class 250TD estate currently fitted with Continental
supercontact & Eco tyres.Supercontact has high wear rate & tends to be noisy.
Can anyone suggest better tyre choice please?

I have now done some research on Supercontact which  suggests that my experience is not isolated, other forums archives reveal similar complaints.

Try Avons, not a common choice but a very good tyre

Thanks David, I used to have those on one of my
previous cars & they certainly were an excellent tyre.
I have ended up going for Goodyear NCT 5 having been assured by a "reliable source" that pennies/mile they are better value than many top quality makes-for my car.
It has been suggested that as I do not many long journeys(Motorways etc) that I am extracting much more energy from my tyres & that I should not expect a
prodiguous mileage from them. Back to the short journey syndrome.
