C Class w202 Glove box 94 C180

I have recently bought a 94 C180 there is a small key switch in glove box for turning the alarm off and On. But I am unable to turn it as its loose. How do I remove the glove compartment or at least get to the back of it??

Sorry I can’t help with removing the glove box, others may oblige, but in case this is an emergency you can grip the sides of the key switch with pliers and holding it firmly push the key inwards and give it a quarter turn either clock or counter clockwise. Note there may be a nipple on the edge of the key which must go into a slot on the key switch.

I will give this a go.. Its real handy how MB located the key switch
right at the top right of glovebox making working area very limited

Try that first, if you decide to remove the glove box be aware that there is an air bag above it, I don’t know what implications, if any that might have, but I would suggest you do a search of the forum on how it is removed first, just to be sure on how it is done correctly
