Hi Folks

Can anyone advise me whether I can attempt a repair on missing pixels in my instrument cluster display? I have lost the top 6/7/8 lines of the display and MB advise a new cluster complete at £500 ish or I have found a second hand unit at approx £200.

I'm up for a challenge! Will I have to get MB to re-set the mileage afterwards anyway?

This is my first time with a thread! I await any response with interest.(I have tried another category without any replies so I think this section suits the enquiry better.- I'm sorry if you've seen this before!)

Hello and welcome.

The is an easy fault where the ribbon cables need packing out owing to poor connections, this is done by packing out the connection with small plastic wedges

there is info here on this

Thank you for your reply. I have seen this advice given whilst researching this problem over the last few weeks. Do you mean the multi connector on the back of the cluster or are there other connectors inside the cluster which I will find if I remove it and strip it down?

Thanks
