c class wheels ?

hi guys , iam about to upgrade from standard 15 inch steel wheels on my c200k estate its a 2001 model , i was wondering has anyone found any handeling or ride issuse with 18s or 17inch alloys?

As the wheel size increases the aspect ratio of the tyre must decrease. This will lead to a change in ride quality. The lower the profile the more you will feel the road/potholes. The level of road noise may also increase, this is very dependant on tyre choice of course. Tramlining may be a problem. Without changes to the suspension (i.e. spring rates and damper settings) it's unlikely you'll notice much improvement in handling.

I changed to AMG style 18's on my w202 c class.
Tramlining is a issue and the car appears to be higher than before.

Now need to get lower suspension to make the wheels fill the arches again.

Also had to have tracking done to stop one front wheel rubbing on inner wheel arch on full lock.
They do look good though.
