C Sportcoupe without facelift model ?

I am looking for C 180-200 Sportcoupe

but I am afraid for wrong decision

I found C200 SC 2002 model engine 1998cc-163 HP this car before facelift model

My question ;

with facelift I think C class had Direct Control sistem and engine size decreased 1798cc

with this features how important for handling and power without facelift(before 2005 model) ?
