C180 2002 Hazard Light/Airbag light problem

I have a C180 2002 model and I have just replaced the car battery as original one went completely dead after I did not start it for 3 weeks.

It starts up fine now, but I just noticed that the Hazard light and the Airbag Off light in the centre console both remain permanently ON, after I turn off the car??

The Hazard light appears to remain 'pressed in' and does not 'bounce' back out when I try to turn it off - it just glows red.

I think that this may be the real reason why my original battery may have become completely drained in the first place...and new battery may become drained again??

Grateful if anyone has seen this problem and advise on any possible solutions (fuses..etc)
Many thanks.

Only by taking the hazard switch out will yuo know whats wrong with it, it is of the self latching type and.

The SRS warning could be anything from a bad connection under the passenger seat to any other part of the system, only on STAR will you know

Thanks for the reply..is it easy to remove/check/change the Hazard Light or is it something that a garage will need to undertake?

I will check for any loose connections under the passenger seat.

I will look in the day to see how it comes out and post back.

The snag with the SRS light is that it may need STAR to turn it off
