HI everyone,

I know that by the time you'll be finished reading this you'll be laughing at me. But I was wondering if someone might be able to help me

I have only one set of keys to my Classic 1999 c180 Mercedes Benz. I have the three button key with the lock/unlock for the doors and the boot release.

The problem I am having is that the keys are locked in the boot and I cannot get them out at all.

Here is what I have tried so far:

1. Broken the smaller back (non power window) so I could gain access to the inside of the car
2. Tried to pull out fuse 7,8,9 but this didn't seem to do anything

I have also tried pulling the seats out but these ones don't come out. I don't have any other key to this car except the ones in the boot :(

Does anybody know what I might be able to do? I was going to call the AAA (NRMA for Australia) to see if they could help me open the boot.

Cheers everyone
Tim

The only way that I can see would be to remove one of the door panels and then take off a vacuum pipe, and blow or suck to operate the locking, this is easier said than done as the pressure required is quite high, and more than one can blow.

Buy a new key from MB is another way

My wife did this to our 5 series BMW when were on holiday in west wales. We called BMW assist (AA will have similar person) who sent out a lock specialist who got in with a long bread knife shaped metal thing in minutes....

Don’t know if yours will be the dame as mine but if you have a First Aid box in rear parcel shelf, remove it or partially tilt it upwards and you will see two holes that are sufficient to put a wire coat hanger hook or a magnet, taped to a stick, through the holes to grab the keys that are in the boot, that is if you left them in a convenient spot in the boot. You will also need a light as boot will be completely dark.
