C180 Electrics

Hi All,
I have a May03 C180K Classic SE and I am about to fit a nav system. The Smartnav system requires a ground, a switched 12v and a permanent 12v. Anyone tell me the best place to pick up these supplies ?

Also, I am intrigued to know what is fitted in the black plastic housing that sits in the top centre of the windscreen behind the rear view mirror. Just curious.

I would suggest the best wires to tap into are the ones from the existing stereo system.

The housing on top of the mirror often contains the rain sensor for the automatic wipers and a sometimes a light sensor for the auto-lights.
