Hi
Just bought a 1999 C180 Esprit on 105K miles. Idle is erratic with revs fluctuating between 750 and 1000. Puffing apparent from exhaust and this is in tune with the fluctuations of the revs....
Also there is a rattle (not deep) when it is idling, and this turns into a whirring when reversing....
Help! Paid book price for this as I thought given it has full MB service it should be in good nick!
Any help/advice would be appreciated.
