C180 Idle Speed

Hi, hope somebody can help with this, 2000 C180 W202, had a problem with cutting out at idle so I cleaned out the throttle body and butterfly which was quite badly carboned up, now the idle speed hovers at 1500 to 2000, nothing has been adjusted or altered all I did was clean it, cheers Steve.

I had this issue although itwas after installing a new throttle body / Idle speed actuator. On the front of the body there is a linkage - a long shaft with a ball on each end that slots into a seat type thing. You will see there are nuts on each end. Make sure the throttle is closing in its entirety, if not adjust this.

Any fault codes?
