Please Help!
I have a 1997 c180 sport which is sitting on my drive with the immobiliser stuck on. The red light on the door handle and rear view mirror are not working but the green ones keep flashing when I try to start the car and unlock/lock it with the key fob. The indicators don't flash now either when pressing the key fob.
Does any one have any ideas, I can't even take to the mercedes garage as I can get it started.
Can automatics be towed? especially with the immobiliser on.
Is anyone aware of any mobile car electrical people in the west sussex area?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

As Rajinder says normally works by doing a reset. you may have to normalize but that is easy

A friend of mine with a C-Class had to replace the mirror with the flashing lights after it wouldn't start. A "brain" is in the mirror he said.

If reset by disconnecting battery doesn't work then maybe have mirror brain checked. Sounds daft but he replaced mirror and all was well.

I will try it, but the neighbours wont be too happy as I dont have the isolating key for the alarm siren which always goes off as soon as the battery is disconnected! the car battery did get low and I have tried to trickle charge it overnight (I rang mercedes to check you could charge a battery whilst still connected to the car and they said ok but only trickle charge) I have tried new key fob batteries.

What you need to do is get a old towel and cover the siren which is under the bonnet on the right i think fold the towel a few times this will drain most of the sound.....
