Please help if you can I’m getting a little desperate.
I have a C180 and the rev-counter; Speedo, clock and petrol gauge suddenly stopped working. I have checked the fuses and have taken out the binnacle; some of the lamps were out so I have replaced them. The instruments now light up but the problem still remains. The temperature gauge still works. The light on the fuel gauge showing an empty tank still works. I have spoken to a mechanic and he said it was linked to the engine management system and that could be the fault.
I was thinking of going to the scrap yard and getting a replacement panel?
Any suggestions gratefully received.
Regards
Matthew

Your Mercedes
c238,w120 (diesel)
sounds like some electrics on the dashboard instrument panel are zapped, if they all look good then consider trying a friends, or buy a replacement,

there are companies who re-furbish these panels, get googling

cheers
