c180 m-plate 95 temp gauge

is it normal for my temp gauge to go above the normal 80*c marker in this weather when the heating is not blowing on hot

i am worried as it is -1 temp outside and in traffic jams my temp has hit 100*c
what will it do in the summer.

Think yourself lucky that you have a warm car, there are many people out there who cant get their car over 60.

The fault with your car is prabably nothing more than a faulty transmitter.
when its showing 80-90 are all the fans running, and is the heater hot.
how long does it take to reach 80.
