C180 Noisy Dash

Hello All

I have a C180 estate (2002) which has recently statred making a groaning clunking noise from the dash on startup. The noise continues for about 30 seconds then stops but repeats every time on starting up. It sounds like a motor trying to move a baffle in the air vents but I'm not sure. Any ideas?

Hi mate dont know if to late but sounds like actuators on heator box behind dash board known fault on c class cars, I have done quite a lot at my dealer ship not cheap job .

You mean that it is not cheap as there is so much work in taking all the dash out, to get to them.
