c180 power boost

seen on e bay some gadget to boost power for £3 cant be bad has anyone put one of these on a mercedes and if so was it any good.claims of 7 to 25 bhp are made for various cars. i have personally got a 1.8 and tow a caravan, it gets a bit short winded sometimes.

if it were that simple, the manufacturers would do it. Just causes it to overfuel afaik. It's a 10p resistor - not bad for £3!.
