after my c180 boiled up on the motorway I have had to have a replacement engine fitted along with a new radiator by a local small garage, however the car will not now start and after the garage contacted the local mercedes dealer he was told that the ignition module has probably failed if the battery was allowed to go flat, I find that hard to belive,as the car starts and runs until the accelerator is pressed and then it dies.I am very reluctant to agree to the fitting of a new module as they cost about £600 from a car breaker, and having so far spent in excess of £1000 on a car worth only about £3000 it seems a bit silly.needless to say I am not very happy. does anybody have any constructive comments or suggestions, if not I will consider getting the car towed back home and selling it for scrap.ps it is a 1996 C180 elegance
