C180 rust repair - chances ??

Its a long shot i know but here goes

My 1994 c180 has a small amount of rust appearing on the inner lip of both front wings at the rear end.

Tha car had done a genuine 65K miles and up until last year has had full main dealer history at the same dealer (Dodmanread - Stockport)

one of the front wings has previously been resprayed (vandal damage)

The rust is (to me anyway) coming from the inside and is not stone chip damage - rust is in exactly same place on both wings

I know its pushing it on a car this old, but is it worth a try for the goodwill repair ?????

To ask costs nothing - but I don't think the corrosion warranty arrived until around 1998 so I doubt you'll get very far. Plus as the wing has been resprayed it wouldn't be covered anyway. Plus plus, at 11 years old if that's all the corrosion you have, you've done well.
Anything's worth a try though!

Yes that was my view - in 1994 i think they were still using real paint not the water based stuff - but seeing as the same maindealer has cared for it (or not) for all of its life, worth asking

If the dealer entertains your claim, expect a long wait before the repairs are done. DC has a long list of claims awaiting processing. I had an 8 month wait from claim to repair.
