C180 Seat belts

I am having serious problems with the front two seat belts in my C180 - they're not retracting properly, once I take the seat belt off, I have to sit there and feed it back in. This has now cause my speaker cases to break 4 times (I have paid to have them replaced twice). What's happening is the plug in part on the seat belt gets caught on the door and as I shut it, it's piercing the speaker case.

Does anyone know if this is a more commone problem, as Mercedes keep telling me it's human error.

thanks

probably should have added that the car is a 54 plate. And apologies if I have posted this message under the wrong section of the site, I am new here.

54 plate should still be under MB warranty so a trip to your dealer is in order.

yeah I am going to take it there this morning, they keep saying that the warranty doesn't cover this as it was human error. Sooooo annoying!!

Cars can be a pain!!!

Why do they say human error? if you release the belt and it does not retract something is wrong. What do they say you are doing incorrectly?

I have noticed that MB's do not have the fastest retracting belts in the world, they were slow on my 129, they are on the 230, it could be to the auto tensioners but on my V70 they retract and stay up.
