3 year old - My front left signal lamp stopped and came up as a fault, then the right hand did the same and then after a while corrected itself, the left stayed a fault. I put the left bulb into the right hand and it worked. Could the computer need resetting? :?

The bulb holders are probably needing a clean when they stop working it brings your fog lights under the bumper on to act as emergency indicator lights. When you fit new bulbs the fault check on the dashboard has to be reset. You press a button on the dash & working with the ignition switch and that clears the faults.

Please accept my apologies, I think I may have annoyed "sclass" in another, unrelated post; you appear to have borne the brunt of his anger.

190D - I changed the bulbs and holders around to establish that they all work in the right hand unit, then tried the reset button but it still would not work. Any suggestions as to the sequance you have to follow to reset?

If my memory serves me right hold in the bottom button on the left hand side of dash and turn ignition on it should then show the malfunctions there should be two one for the indicator and the other for the auxiliary lighting which is the bottom fog light which comes on dimly to act as your indicator if I remember correctly once you see the malfunctions hold the button in and switch ignition off then let the button go then turn ignition back on and see if it still shows a malfunction either that way or keep the button pressed at the malfunction. PS Does your lower light come on as an indicator

203 bulb holders

Hi

I assume you have a 203 c class, there is a fault that the bulb holders burn out the contacts, at one time new head light units were required but now there is a bulb holder with a wireing mod, with Esku you should get mod on warrenty

Sclass I thought you would know that, you seem to know everything else

soz (had to bitch)
