Where can I buy a timing chain riveter for securing the link on new timing chain?

Or does anyone have experience of riveting the linke 'manually' with a hammer? Does this work OK?

A good motorcycle shop will have them... I think http://www.mandp.co.uk/ or www.thefastone.co.uk/ will be able to supply you with one. Ring them up and ask for a catalogue.

Most motorcycles have cam chains and it is a common issue...especially with old Honda's.

I went down this path and got frightened off very quickly. The puker MB tool has a procedure that involves two torque settings. You may get your local stealership to lend one but I failed. The old hands will tell you to use two hammers (not for the faint hearted) Think the best bet is to take the lot off and fit a continuous chain. I am interested to hear how you get on.
