C180 with a problem!!

Hi - new member looking for some advice please. I have recently bought a 1999 C180 which has about 85K on the clock. When driving it at about 3500rpm it cuts in/out and looses power - drives well normally with smooth tick over just when hitting this kind of rev range. Any ideas please??

Hi and welcome, this fault does sound like the MAF, why not un plug it and try the car
