c200 1999 electric windows

I had to replace a battery in my C200, since then I have had problems with both front windows.I have tried reprograming them by disconnecting the battery then reconecting it.The way I did it is to depress the rocker switch halfway then when reaching open depress fully and hold for 10 secs and then doing the same to the closed position.and then doing it to all the windows.This seems to work for a couple of days and then one of the front windows will stay closed.Could anyone tell me if I am doing this correctley?

Ignition Key must be in position 2 then press button so that windows are closed then hold the button for 1 sec. Had to do this to my C200 and it worked fine and is still ok some 2 years on.
