C200 (2008) Not shifting up

Hello. My C200 (2008) won't shift from 3rd to 4th. When it first started misbehaving it went to 4th but not 5th. It shifts down OK. I can't even force it to change up using tiptronic. What sort of thing could cause this?

If it’s the 5g gearbox check the gearbox fluid level (buy a dipstick from eBay)
Gearbox oil and filter service should be every 40k miles .
A fault code is probably logged if a diagnostic scan is done .

Cheers. It is the 5-speed box. Now to find someone who'll do it cheaper than the main dealer.
