C200 BAS light on

Any ideas as to why my BAS light keeps coming on would be greatly appreciated. Fault codes C1022 and C1031 are stored and will not clear.
Sometimes the light goes out,but is mostly on after starting. Car is a 99 C200

Brake light switch.

Common fault, fixed in 10 minutes and costs around £12 form your local stealer.

Replaced the brake light switch at 43K after suffering same problem. Havn't had a recurrence since.
