Hi, I am a new member and apologise for asking for so much info but I have just one more question:rolleyes:
I have remote locking and my key only fits the ignition. When the car is locked using the remote, for some reason, the boot stays unlocked. It seems to have got out of synch with the remote locking of the car.
Obviously I would like the boot to be locked when i lock the car and open when I open it. Any ideas?
Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave and i hope that you do not mind me answering as we SW members have to stick together :D
The locking on your car is all vacuum controlled and the boot not locking could be one of two things, either a vacuum pipe off of broken or the lock has gone too stiff

When you operate the remote the pump should only run for a few seconds and then stop,, if there is a leak it will run for the max 18 sec and then stop,,this is not good for the pump and it will soon fail if left.

If the lock is rusty or stuck then spray some PTFE or silicon over the moving parts

This is the locking pipe info

thanks Malcolm
I will get the spray out tomorrow as the pump only runs for a few seconds and opens all the doors so i don't think there is a break in the line. it must just be stiff.
Will let you know how I got on.
