C200 electrical

We have a 2000 model C200 (old shape) :mrgreen: that needed a jump start a couple of weeks ago. Since then the doors don't lock on move off and the one shot on the windows do not work, any ideas ?
Apart from having new front wings to replace the rusted ones and almost every panel resprayed by MB, warped discs, faulty exhaust manifold and a leaking steering damper, all before 35,00 miles, it has been perfect!!!!

I believe it just needs reprogramming. The locking is something like put thekey in and press the lock button for 10 secs but see your manual. Windows something similar -full up then full down and hold. Someone will know the proper procedure.

You ought to choose a more appropriate username after all the problems you've experieced with your C, re: bodywork. Quite the worse tale of woe I've read about a youthful C. My C-class is also a 2000 car but luckily escaped your problems - touch wood! I'm a little surprised you kept it?

I've noted jberks reply concerning 'reprogramming'. I've not experienced this problem myself but have encountered others who have. I'm sure it's good advice. I didn't know the procedure was described in the manual. Are we talking 'Haynes' here?

Try disconecting the battery and then connecting it again to reset it.
