Hello everyone,
I have just had alook at what appears to be a nice 1998 S reg C200 estate auto with 103000 miles with full MB dealer service history at £7000. Is there anything I should be looking out for in particular or be worried about? Your comments would be greatly appreciated. :)

I reckon that is cheap. We paid about fifteen for our 98 230K Elegance - with leather, good CD stacking system and some posh alloys FSH 55k on the clock.

Reckon you have to go for the higest spec - have to say very pleased with the Kompressor - have had several turbocharged motors in the past but the KOmp beats them hands down.

I have a new (to me) 1999 estate c180 - I love it - but they are prone to rust on the lower edge of the boot door (on the inside) also around the key lock/handle on the boot door. Mine is being repaired by MB under the Mobilo-Life program but worth checking before you buy.

I like the note about the Kompressor being better than the Turbo's. The Kompressor of course is a Supercharger rather than a Turbo Charger and is wonderful. I just wish I could have affordeed to buy it!

Nope, just make sure you have a very full pocket and a friendly bank manager for the massive bills.

To help avoid these when you get the car get a really thorough once over by a very knowledgeable independent assessor and make sure the dealer fixes every one of them. Dont take any excuses from him either.
