C200 intermitant start problem

Every now and again when I go to start my car there is a click and the starter motor does not turn the engine over. You can come back a few hours later and it starts ok. I have checked the battery and it's fine.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Hello Denis and welcome to the MB forum, either an earth strap or the starter sound to be on the way out, is the click coming from the starter motor

Ignition Switch

A mechanic seems to think it may be the ignition switch which we are going to try replacing. Not sure how difficult this job is. Thanks for your help.
