I'm currenty getting around 23MPG around town. This seems to have dropped from approx 28MPG when the car clicked over around 32,000 miles.

When working in a MB dealer as a Service Advisor we got the same complaint from a number of customers but nothing was ever found. Has anyone else had this experience and if so, found out how to fix it.

my c200 gives between 20 to 25 mpg in town driving.

i think that is normal for this model as fuel consumption increases when rear demist heater and a/c are on . : :D

What Mpg are you getting on your 190E?

I can't seem to get more than 30mpg for mixed driving
for my 190E 1.8

Cheers

jason,

that would be expected for your 6cylinder c240!!!

my friend owns a c240-it is the the price to pay for a very smooth ,quiet engine, compared with the c200 4 cylinder version-better mpg but noisy engine.

i used toi drive a e34 5 series 530i-3 litre,6 pot beamer-the best car i have driven to date, but it only managed 15-17 mpg in town!!.

it is at the end of the day all relative-you pay for what you want and like.
