Hi,
I have a c200 (w202) w plate 2000. car has been running great untill this morning, now it wont start. The weather last night was wet with very strong winds, and my car was sitting well exposed. The car is turning over fine, but just not catching, does anyone have any suggestions?
thanks

The Cps comes to mind .. Crankcase position sensor..doubt if the weather would cause your problem, cars are built to drive in bad weather..

An immobiliser is fitted as standard although that wasnt on last night as the car wasnt locked.(think the immobiliser only comes on if car locked) Its very strange engine is turning over although it does sound a bit rough.

CPS do fail either when very cold or very hot,, the expansion and contraction breaks the wires

if it is petrol it could be the coil. it will just turn over but will not fire

Going to have to sign off soon, if the above is correct then remove the fuel pump relay next to the battery in the boot, crank over until it starts and cuts out, replace the relay and it should start???
