2001 C200K Evo Pan - It has been working absolutely fine until yesterday....pressed the switch and nothing happened. The screen went back ok but the roof just didn't respond. Tried again half an hour later and it moved a few inches but wanted to stop. Kept pressing the switch and it would only move a few mm's at a time before I gave up. Upon closing, it moved slow but was worried at one point that it wouldn't close at all !!

Can anyone please help???

Hello, I would give it a dam good grease and oil then reset the roof by holding the switch it in the closed position after it is closed for 5 seconds, this will reset the motor.

Grease the channels when open, you will see where they normally run, then when closed, drop a few drops of oil at the back channels, between the felt strips that the back end of the root slide along. This shoud free it all up.
Having said all that are you sure it wasnt just frozzen up?

Thanks for your advice - will get greasing...I'm hoping it is because it's frozen up...
The car has been running beautifully since I got it 2 years ago but in the past 2 months it just seems to be going wrong....problem with the radio, then the ignition (as per Merc), now the roof and the right brake light that was changed just a month ago...
Time to sell and upgrade i think !!
