C200 Remote Central Locking won't work

My 96 P reg C200's central locking refuses to work. I've tried my normal fob and the spare 'credit card' fob and neither work yet the button on the dash does. My friends say it's prolly a blown fuse but I'm not so sure, Is there anything it's likely to be or do I need a MB dealer to have a look?

Hi

Have you replaced the battery & tried it again. If when you hold the button down you should get a red led flash once. If not you may require a new remote. If neither the red or green light flash on the mirror when remote is operated then a new remote is required.


I am assuming its a flick out key not a plastic key.
