C200 sport central locking problem .. please help if you can =)

hi everyone,

sorry if im posting this in the wrong section ...

i recently brought a c200 sport - 1994 - i changed the main car battery yesterday and now the central locking has stopped working .... any ideas what i need to do to get it working again as it was fine before the battery was changed ?

the car does have a clifford concept 600 alarm but i have no valet number for that .... could this have something to do with why my central locking is not working ?

Does the central locking work at all?
Key/button/alarm etc
all use a slightly different method so this could help.

Also, does it make any noise when you lock it or is it silent (not even trying).

after hours searching yesterday i went outside and tried the central locking and it was working again lol typical hey !! but thanks for your reply though much appreciated.
