c200 w202 belt damper

Hi all i need to fit a new damper to my 2000 C w2o2 but can not get old one off and to make things worse i have broken of the m10 bolt on the tensioner is this left hand tread allso if i buy a new tensioner will i get bolt and pully as i my need to cut the old ones off Thanks Speny

pulley does not come with tensioner, is it the bolt in centre of pulley that you have broken. If so it comes with the tensioner. Did you try to remove torx bolt in centre of pulley? Does'nt come off, it is the 15mm nut behind it. Hope this makes sense!

Thanks it dose make sence but how do you get the old one off . I have located and undunn two bolts witch hold the tensioner on but it looks like they is a torx socket as well witch is behind the pulley ? thanks Spenny

you wont have brocken pulley holding bolt just the torx head, if you look closely there is 15mm nut holding on pulley and its right hand thread

the torx head in centre of pulley is to allow you to pull tensioner back to slacken belt, you have to look deeper into middle of pully to find nut

Thanks have now got it sorted and it sound great no rattle you have been a real help Spenny
