Hiya. Well we've done it, we have ordered a 2005 C200K A/G Sport with auto, heated leather seats and phone prep and front/rear Parktronic. I couldn't miss it as its only got 13k on the clock. It will be fully serviced and has brand new tires fitted all roulnd. We collect it on Thursday (I hope). All this from a MB dealer. They have been first class. They will be named when its all gone through.

Can anyone tell me if the heated washer jets are standard or an option?

Also, I know you can fold the mirrors, but can this be done automatically when the car is locked/opened?

Any other hidden treats I need to know about?

Ipod will be fitted in the very near future...

Sounds good Jon - hope you enjoy it!

Heated washer jets are an option AFAIK. I'm sure mine was advertised as having them but they froze when the temp fell below 0!

You can set the mirrors to fold automatically every time the car is locked - it's in the settings menu on the on-board computer.

The sports pack makes the world of difference to the car - lovely alloys and comfy, supportive seats. Here's a treat for you - the heated seats have 3 settings on each side depending on how warm you want them to be. They also automatically reduce through the settings then turn off as time goes by at just the correct rate. Also both seat base and rear are heated.

Strongly recommend getting a Bluetooth module fitted instead of a cradle to the phone prep - it works a treat and you can pair up to 4 different phones with it. It means you can leave the phone in your bag/jacket etc.

Ipod works reasonably well - controlled using buttons on the steering wheel - and has good quality sound.

If you have any other questions I'd be happy to try to answer them.

Cheers,

Matt.

Hi Matt. I got bluetooth in my A4 and the sound quality is usable. I was thinking of getting the MB cradle but £150 does seem a bit OTT??? Do you know any cheaper outlets?

I had the thought that I would seen as an "old fart" buying a MB at the age of 39 (40 in June) but then I saw the age poll. I'm about just right.

I got mine as part of the deal, but you could always try ebay! Don't know if you mean Bluetooth or not, but the sound quality of my Bluetooth is excellent, and faultless pairing with my Nokia 6300, including phone book contacts etc.

The cradle won't need changing every time I change the phone either! ;)

Sounds a very nice car. We just bought another 200K and the very low mileage of only 150 miles was a great incentive for us. We could not believe that the car had such a low mileage and even the MB stealership had to go and double check it as they weren't sure if the website was accurate.

We didn't have parktronic before and have found it to be very handy.

Also like the way the headlights seem to come on automatically when it starts to get dark.

You got me thinking about the bluetooth module now. If installed what can I do with it?

I guess I can answer/end the call by using the MFSW or does the phone need an "auto answer" option? My phone doesn't

I have Sony K800i, anyone else got this phone with the BT?

Would I be able to scroll through my phone book?

Jon - you answer and end calls using the steering wheel, which can also be used to adjust the volume. My Nokia 6300 works a treat with it BUT my previous phone, Sony W800i, did not (no phone book, kept crashing/freezing)! If yours is a recent phone it may work but be prepared to require a new phone if not.

I still think it's the way forward rather than having to acquire a new cradle each time you replace the phone. Good luck!

I went down the phone specific cradel route in the W211 for my K800i. It works a treat, and reckon if I change the phone, I'll be able to sell it on for more or less what I paid for it.

I like the convience of my phone being charged, not its battery depleting...
