C200K A/G Sport

Just picked up my new (2005) C200k A/G Sport and so far, I LOVE it!!!

Please can anyone tell what's with the orange light shining over the center console from the rear-view mirror? Can this be turned off?

I'm deverstated that the mirrors wont fold in when I lock the doors. :-x I'll have to push the button on the dash instead.

Can the dash lights be dimmed? On my old A4 there was a dimmer switch on the dash.

I have a couple of blistering wheels which should be sorted under the guarantee???

Phone cradle and iPod to be fitted sooooooon

Its there to illuminate the dash and provide ambient lighting when you're in the dark. No it can't be turned off and to be honest - why would you want to? (unless you're doing something dodgy in the car at night....... ?)

With the mirrors I don't know on the C. On the E it's automatic and it may be programmable on yours - not sure.

The dash dimmer is the reset button on the left of the cluster - just twiddle it instead of pressing.
... What are you doing in the dark? Or don't I want to know

And yes - they should sort the wheels under warranty unless the blisters were caused by kerbing.

Thanks for your reply. Errr What are you insinuating? Ha ha.

My dealer's service dept said they need to photograph the wheels and email the pics to Mercedes UK. They will then make a decision.

I'm not particularly happy with this as they are obviously faulty! And I've owned the car for 24hrs!!!! I have requested the salesman phone me today. I have also photographed the wheels myself and emailed them off the the dealership to save time.

I will keep you posted...
