C207 Mercedes e coupe center info-wheel

Hello! My c207 Mercedes center wheel knob just broke. It does not do anything when I rotate it. Up down left right works but the rotation does not. I 2 questions. 1- how much is the repair in a mercedes dealership?
2- can it be resolved at home without dealer or service involved?

Have you tried to take the wheel off to see what’s broken underneath. It may be something simple that you can do yourself with some glue?

No i did not try. As soon as I noticed I posted this thread. I did not want to make it worse

There are repair kits on ebay for this problem.
