Strange thing happened last night. Drove 3 miles all normal. Parked up & locked 5 mins and returned to car, drove about a mile and then the above warning appeared on the system display. Couldn't check if the led strip was lit or not but when l parked up at home and switched off and then on again the warning appeared again upon pressing the brake pedal twice. So l switched off again, switched all lights off and locked the car. I immediately unlocked and started up and drove round with no faults indicted and my neighbour confirmed all brake lights were working. I've read all about wires to the boot fracturing due to boot opening & closing and I've read about defective led assemblies due to shock when closing the boot. However l did not open / close the boot at all. It seems something reset itself after l shut everything off and locked the car and l have not been able to replicate the fault at all. I wonder if this was just a one off glitch, maybe Sam related? Battery is a few months old and properly charged. Anyone care to advise please.

Mioba I get your drift ! I do tend to fret over unexplained glitches which tend to erode my trust in things. Electronics l feel are too temperamental and this is one of the reasons l haven’t been too tempted to purchase a new car with even more modern electrickery. Sadly I’m of the (incorrect) opinion that things should work 100% correctly and l get disappointed more often than not.

Thats exactly the thing with electronics - glitches.

Funny you should mention alcohol. I’m chilling with a nice glass or three of red wine. Car parked safely on my drive and staying there !!! Some other time I’ll tell you about glitches I’ve had with tv’s, mobile phones, pvr’s etc. No wonder l get a bit ott when the car plays up.
