Hi, I've just bought a new original (from a breaker) ABC pump for my 2003 CL 600 Bi Turbo. There is a difference between the pump off the car and the new one. Has anyone experienced this before? Many thanks George B PHOTO-2021-07-09-09-31-45.jpg

So, a different direction on the connection pointed to? Does it make it difficult to connect the hose?

Edit: Just checked mine. My pump is as per your new one. Though, it is not the original so I can't be sure if it was as your old one.

Thanks Naraic, Yes, the new one is actually closed off - not a pipe, the older one is the pipe for the reservoir on the pump. Having read into it a bit further I think the 500 and 600 might have slightly different configurations. Have another pump on order, (via chassis no) which I should get Monday. Will post and let you know.

Safest way is always to check the part number. It’s a bugger. Glad to see you have the right one turning up.

Note to the wise, ensure the lines are carefully capped off and keep all outlets and connections surgically clean. Any contamination going downstream of the pump puts it in the valve blocks.

Sorry to respond after so long.
CL 600 been on the ramp since July so had nothing to report! Consistent whining noise (mainly inside car) has led me to replace the ABC pump twice, pulsation damper and now the ABC expansion hose. There is a clamp/bracket (part nos A0009952732 and A0009952832) that has gone missing in the process. Mercedes don't do this part any longer and can't get it anywhere. Before removing the expansion hose again to try and get the clamp/bracket fabricated to fit I thought I'd post to see if anyone has any ideas where I'd possibly get the spec blueprint. Any help greatly appreciated as always. Thanks again George B.

Pumps - MB do a remanufactured pump around £500, with MB warranty.

there are 3 spheres (pulsation damping)
