I went to a engine diagnostic specialist this morning, handed my car in he did a diagnostic on the car, came up with quite a few fault codes? but he erased them and when i drove the car i noticed a few differences ( the car no longer revs more when it is in park ) and maybe few other minors.

After he erased the faults, he told me to drive atleast 6 miles and come back see if any difference, drove more than 6 miles, came back (just about; limp mode kills alot of fuel in second gear) and he did a diagnostic test again to see if any fault codes appear, but nothing appeared on the diagonostics screen.

He then took the car in to check if anything wrong under gear box with oil? he says there is oil leaking under the car near the gearbox, he doesnt know if that has been there for some time or it has caused the problem for the car to jump into limp mode.

So can anyone enlighten me in regards to the gearbox oil and the car being in limp mode?

On the car dash, no lights come on (no problems show up on dash with the lights).

I've got a number for a auto gear box specialist in manchester, going to give them call in morning? or monday, but would like some advice before i go.

You could have a MAF filter problem on the engine, with the VIN number first 9 numbers I can look it up

I have had a look and every fault is coded, the oil leak must be done and the faulty could be just low on fluid
