C220, 2014, model 205, washer bottle

Hi all.....given that the dealerships have all closed down, could anyone give me some advice on the C-class 205 washer bottle? I topped up my washer bottle a couple of days ago, and inadvertently let a 'globule' of congealed concentrated washer fluid (ie, there was some thick residue at the bottom of the screenwash container) flow into the washer bottle. The result.......jets that throw out a brief spurt of water, then nothing. The pump is working, and the jets are fine. I'm guessing the pump intake is blocked, or the filter on the pump blocked, if there is a filter. I can't see how to get to the bottle or pump.....can anyone advise?

Front NS wheel off, front part of wheel arch liner freed, washer bottle and pump are behind it - but as John says, first try some very hot water and/or the garden hose as far down the filler as you can, give it a really good flush.

Hi Chris........I've tried the hot water, but cant get even a small hose into the filler tube.....so it looks like a remove the bottle job....

Another thought - can you BF&BI the hose from the connection onto the first washer jet - it's just a push wicker type fit but rather tight - as I found when I had a failed jet on my S204. Maybe then you could either blow the blockage free forwards, or use an air compressor and air jet to blow the blockage back so you can flush it out.

I hadn't thought of that possibility......I'll try it....it'll give me another task for my day tomorrow! Thanks.

Warm the pipe up with boiling water of a hot air gun (not sure whether a hair dryer will get warm enough) to soften it before you pull the jet off.
