C220 Bluetec Window Washer Problem

C220 SE Bluetec 2015 2143cc

The water is only dribbling out of my windscreen washers at the moment.

As a starter I was trying to find our where the fuse is for the washer pump but see no mention of it in the various fuse lists on the internet.

Does anyone know where it is or have any other ideas how I might solve my problem?

If you pull the washer pump out your find the small filter is full of Snot!! The bottle needs a flush and some good quality screen wash adding, we are seeing so much of this now and sometimes is so bad the bottle needs replacing!

if you have screen wash/water 'dribbling' then the pump is running & your problem isn't a fuse.
As above, the filter Cole mentions is incorporated into the grommet that the pump is pushed into ....

Attached to the bottom of the washer fluid tank. An ideal time to clean out the entire tank (algae, slime) also with a bottle brush. Stick to using quality washer fluid.

As post above, washer bottle is on passenger side (RHD) under wheel arch liner

To get to the washer bottle and pump, some say you can get enough access by (on level ground) turning the wheels to full right lock then removing fixings holding the front of the NS wheel arch liner and pulling it back. Personally, I think access would be a lot easier jacking the NS up and removing the NS front wheel.

Beware cheap replacment pumps available on ebay - I had one put into my S204 (I bought the pump for them), it lasted 2 months so I had to get a decent brand pump and have them do the job again! With the help of Google I found what brand was OEM - just can't remember the brand! Saving about £8 on a cheap pump cost me £15 for a decent brand plus the fitting cost - which fortunately was not expensive.

The bottle is on the rear of the wheel arch near the front door on a 205!
