Hi
Our sales rep has done about 188k miles in his C220 CDI and has been advised by MB that the torque converter is disintegrating and that it needs a new torque converter and gearbox for total cost of £ 5000inc VAT. Has anyone else experienced this problem, MB have said that a goodwill payment would not apply in this case. Are there any good independant dealers who could give a price based in the South East of UK. Could we not just replace the torque conveter and change the gearbox oil - MB said a cost of £2k and they would not guarantee the repair as the gearbox would not have been flushed through. Any ideas ??
